Download and install the Ren'Py SDK version 6.99.12. Follow these steps to set up the template. The DDLC Mod Template is an easy way to get started building your own game mods for Doki Doki Literature Club that adhere to Team Salvato’s IP Guidelines for fan mods. I recognize that you may have had to ask yourself that before putting DDLC in the spotlight, and that’s why I’m extra appreciative towards everyone who went through with it.įind the mod you want to install online and download it., If it downloads a.rar or a.zip file, extract it using 7-zip or a similar tool., Open the Doki Doki Literature Club folder (If you want to install the mod onto your Steam installation, scroll down for separate instructions)., Copy the files from the extracted folder into the “game” subfolder., Open the game and start a New Game to. It runs the risk of dividing your viewership or not having enough people interested to have justified your time investment. The fact is that all of you took a risk putting DDLC in the spotlight – it’s not often that visual novels and/or romance games are given the treatment that you gave it. There are far too many to list, but here are a few: Alpharad, Jesse Cox, Lost Pause, iijeriichoii, CinnamonToastKen, Game Theory, Game Grumps, jacksepticeye, Pewdiepie, and MANY more. And even more so, all the amazing players who took the time to play DDLC and help share it with the world on Twitch and YouTube. All the gaming news outlets that have covered the game in some form, including IGN, Kotaku, Polygon, PC Gamer, Siliconera, Rock Paper Shotgun, and many others. I owe this post to all of the amazing people who took the time to put DDLC in the spotlight, allowing it to reach these heights of which I never thought even one tenth would be possible. It’s only just now I’ve realized that nothing I’ve ever done in my life has had greater reach and popularity than a romance game with cute anime girls.
